Process instrumentation technology like all technology changes rapidly. Endress+Hauser offers instrument maintenance training which will help your maintenance and engineering staff learn the latest technology.
Endress+Hauser Instrumentation Schools are designed to introduce technicians to process instrumentation from reading P&IDs, to wiring, installing, commissioning and troubleshooting the basic sensing instruments and final control elements associated with today's process control loops.
While Endress+Hauser process instruments are the hardware supporting these schools, the training is designed to address instrumentation in a generic fashion with emphasis on theory and technology rather than product specifics. Hands-on learning is facilitated by working instruments as demonstration units on the bench, and in actual working conditions installed in their Process Training Units™ (PTU's) or in portable training stands designed to simulate actual operating conditions.
Endress+Hauser and Rockwell Automation have formed a strategic partnership for the newest PTU in Philadelphia, PA. The Process Training Unit features Endress+Hauser instruments and the Rockwell Automation PlantPAx process automation system designed for the purpose of educating field technicians, engineers, and sales personnel.
The PTU provides a unique learning experience through hands-on activities. Participants learn the application, installation, operation and diagnostic procedures related to many types of process instrumentation and control processes.
The Philadelphia PTU has three process demonstration units designed specifically for the market needs. The first includes numerous fully functional flow, pressure, temperature, level and analysis instruments. The second unit simulates the types of processes and procedures found in the Life Sciences industries and the third is a demo unit that simulates environmental, water and wastewater treatment applications.
This PTU joins others located around the nation: Houston, TX; Memphis, TN; Mobile, Alabama; Matthews, NC; and Vega Alta, Puerto Rico, with additional units being planned around the U.S. For more information and a schedule of classes, click here.
