With five locations in Ontario, Quebec and Alberta, HosePower Canada is the exclusive marketing and warehousing representative for the Flextral line of hydraulic and industrial hose, fittings, and accessories.

Founded in 1976, the former IPM Hose & Fittings Ltd. began with one location in Ajax Ontario, supplying Goodyear and Dunlop hose and fittings for the industrial, petroleum and mining supply industry.

Planning for Future Growth

Over the years, additional locations were added in Laval, Quebec, Edmonton and Red Deer, Alberta, and Mississauga, Ontario, and in 1999 IPM invested in the Tribute Software System.

A member of the Association of Hose and Accessory Distribution (NAHAD), IPM president, Mark Forget, served as NAHAD's president for 2006-2007 and was part of the team that developed NAHAD's Hose Assembly Guidelines and certification program.

In 2009, IPM Hose & Fittings joined the HosePower group and began doing business under the name HosePower Canada.  Under the HosePower name, the company entered into a strategic alliance and marketing agreement with other service-minded companies to bring the highest quality hose service to its customers.

“By joining the HosePower group, we will more effectively appeal to customers with a North American footprint.  Inventory will be available from all locations allowing HosePower to become North America’s largest hose service company,” said Mark Forget.

With the ability to more closely co-ordinate our purchasing efforts, HosePower will become an integral conduit for our manufacturing partners to bring their products to market.”

OEM Division Accommodates JIT Manufacturing

HosePower Canada also has an OEM division that provides flexible and responsive services for a variety of manufacturing companies to accommodate JIT manufacturing and retailer specific stocking and replenishing programs.

They specialize in complete hose & adapter kits assembled and packaged to an OEM's exact specifications.

A Tribute Software customer since 1999, HosePower Canada has utilized their business management software to pursue their aggressive growth strategy and become one of the premier providers of hose service companies in North America. HosePower Canada has grown over 233% since 1999, expanding from one location to five locations throughout Canada.
